Beginning Yoga with Rose Kress of LifeForce Yoga Healing Institute.
January through May 2026 classes are themed around a different area of the body. You will learn tips and tricks for strengthening, opening, and releasing each part of the body as well as keeping said part safe in other yoga classes.
Rose is a certified Yoga Therapist, teacher, and author. In her class, you'll learn the foundations of yoga and its many benefits. Meditative Therapeutic Yoga is a breath and alignment-based practice. Class begins with a card draw as a theme for the practice, followed by a centering meditation that includes mudra and mantra. Therapeutic postures are dynamically held with a flowing breath to allow the mind to become absorbed in the subtleties of energy and sensation. You’ll leave feeling calmer, stronger, more focused, and aligned with your higher purpose.
Rose is a collaborative teacher, meaning she takes your requests when it comes to the poses, energy, and/or parts of the body you would like to focus on or release. Reap the benefits of practicing with Albany’s only Certified Yoga Therapist.

Yin yoga is a slow, restorative practice that involves holding stretches for long periods of time; typically 3-5 minutes per pose. This is the perfect way to relax, restore, and reset.

Magic happens when women gather in circles. Thousands of women gather in Sister Circles worldwide every month on the New Moon. In Circle, we heal by sharing our stories, our truth, and our wisdom. Each New Moon has a theme for transformation, sisterhood, and healing.
At Awakened Soul Sisterhood, you’ll find a community of like-minded women and build connections with support from women who get IT and who get YOU. Our circle is a brave space where you can take off your armor and be honored for who you are and all you’ve been through.
In this sacred gathering of women, we align with the moon's power to set intentions and meditate, to gain clarity and clear energy, so that we may manifest our hearts’ deepest desires. We do inner work, ritual, and have deep and meaningful conversations. We may sing, we may dance, and we'll most likely laugh a lot and even cry a little. You never know when you get a group of Wild Women together. The energy will be electric and we would LOVE for you to be there. No previous meditation or women’s circle experience is needed. Come exactly as you are.
**What to Expect:: meditation, intention setting, sharing time.
**What to Bring:: a notebook, bottle of water, a bolster or blanket to sit on. (and an item for the altar, if you wish)
INTENTIONS
**Getting prepared for circle…I’d like to encourage you to write your intentions down before coming to Circle. Then you won’t have the feeling of being rushed to write them during circle. You will have more time to focus on what you’re calling in for this moon cycle. We all know how important it is to be specific with our intentions.
If you write your intentions prior to coming to circle, good. If you don't get the chance, don't worry about it. We will still have a small amount of time during circle for writing. Come as you are.
We'll post journaling prompts and/or conversation topics in the Facebook Group Awakened Soul Sisterhood. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2490264904532431/
I’ll also send out an email with the journaling prompts and/or conversation topics

🌕 Full Moon Circle: A Time for Release & Reflection
Hosted at the Lebanon Studio
There is a timeless magic that occurs when women gather. For generations, women have come together under the light of the Full Moon to share their stories, find strength in community, and honor the rhythm of the seasons.
At Awakened Soul Sisterhood, we invite you into a warm, supportive space where you can take off your armor and simply be yourself. While our New Moon circles focus on planting seeds, our Full Moon Circle in Lebanon is a time for "harvesting." It is a sacred space to celebrate how far we’ve come and to consciously release what no longer serves us.
We’ll align with the moon’s peak energy to clear away the old and make room for peace. Whether you are looking for deep conversation, a quiet moment of reflection, or the support of women who truly "get" you, you are welcome here.
Our circle is a gentle, "brave space" for all women. We share our wisdom, engage in meaningful ritual, and support one another through life’s ups and downs. You don’t need any prior experience—just a heart open to connection.
Come exactly as you are. We would love to have you in the circle.
What to Expect
• Guided Meditation: To ground our energy and find stillness.
• Reflective Sharing: A safe time to speak your truth and be heard.
• Releasing Ritual: A symbolic way to let go of burdens or old patterns.
What to Bring
• A notebook and pen.
• Optional: An item for the altar (something that represents peace or gratitude to you).
Preparing for Circle: Releasing
As we prepare for our time together, I encourage you to reflect on what you are ready to set down. The Full Moon is the perfect time to "clear the deck."
If you have a moment before we meet, think about a habit, a worry, or a heavy emotion you’d like to leave behind. Writing these down beforehand allows you to enter circle feeling prepared, but if life is busy, don’t worry—we will have time for reflection during the circle.

A Sonic Journey is a sound meditation practice using gongs, crystal singing bowls, and other sound creation tools to guide our attention and relax our busy minds (also known as a sound bath).
The relaxed, mindful state you experience during each Sonic Journey helps you understand your relationship to THIS MOMENT, deepening your connection to your SELF. Sound baths (literally bathing in sound and vibration) enable each of us to experience quiet, mindful consciousness without prior meditative experience and are a simple practice that everyone can receive and enjoy, whatever their background may be.
Our approach, based on compassion, curiosity, and being in my present moment allows us to share this experience with you in a safe, refreshingly supportive environment. There are no gurus here – only guides who are companions on the journey.
Sonic Journey events are immersive sound experiences. We hear the sound, but we also feel the vibration resonating within our bodies.
Each sound meditation is a unique experience – not only do the soundscapes evolve, but we arrive to each Gong Love with our own ever-shifting perception of self.
Through sound meditation, we can experience profound relaxation, rest, deep states of meditation, dreamlike visions, and spiritual journeys. We may also feel a deeper connection to hidden parts of ourselves – intuition, spirit, creativity, and inner guide. Receiving regular sound meditation enables us to become familiar with the feeling of CALM and NOW and inspires us to consciously inhabit the present moment.
- What happens at a Sonic Journey Sound Meditation? -
We begin by breathing, and a relaxing visualization designed to calm our minds and assist our arrival, in this moment, within the sound meditation space.
Next, we get comfortable, and the vibrations begin to wash over and through our bodies. The rich layers of sounds, tones, and harmonics are an invitation to explore ourselves, the universe, and the connections between us. In our experience, sound meditation is the simplest way to achieve a calm, meditative mind state. Participants often experience deep meditative states, hypnogogic visions, and spirit quest experiences. The sounds are played for an hour each session.
- Tickets
$15-30 sliding scale admission. (Choose the amount you're comfortable with)
Please arrive at 6:45 pm to get comfortable in your surroundings and set up your relaxing meditation space. Doors close and we will begin promptly at 7:00 pm.
- What should I bring? -
Dress comfortably. Bring anything you need to make yourself cozy on the floor. Yoga mat, blanket, pillow or bolster. If you like, we recommend a comfortable eye mask or eye covering of some kind, but this is optional.
Find your quiet mind!
See you soon!

Welcome to the monthly Shamanic Healing Circle, where we provide a sacred space for the community to come together and experience the power of energetic healing. Led by our experienced facilitator, Sky Yeager, this circle is open to anyone seeking healing or looking to offer healing to others.
This circle provides a safe space for people to gather together to offer or request energetic healing through Shamanic Journey, Reiki, and other modalities. People can also come to hold space for one another. All services are provided by community members and are no substitute for other professional medical care.
There is no cost to attend, but donations are welcome to provide reciprocity for the use of the space.
Please contact Sky Yeager at shamanicsoultending@gmail.com to request more information.
It's important to note that this is not a Drop-In event. Sky will need to go over things with you prior to attendance to ensure that you're prepared for the circle. The circle itself is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month, but the time and what to bring will be informed by Sky. So, if you're interested in connecting with like-minded individuals and exploring the power of shamanic practices, please contact Sky for more information.

Further your knowledge of yoga, read more books, and connect with others!
Each month, we will meet to discuss a book of the month. This is an opportunity to read some of the yoga books in the TBR pile. We will read books that inform yoga, old books, and new books.
Some questions to guide your reading:
What moved you?
What inspired you?
Did your opinion of this book change by the time you got to the end?
What new thing(s) did you learn about yoga?
Did this book relate to your life experiences? If so, how?
Did you mark any sections, or quotes?
What new things did you learn about yoga?
March 7th: Autobiography of a Yogi, by Paramahansa Yogananda, Chapters 1 - 26
April 4th: Autobiography of a Yogi, by Paramahansa Yogananda, Chapters 27 - 49
May 2nd: The Bhagavad Gita, by Eknath Easwarn
We will enjoy tea and simple snacks during our discussion. All are welcome!

What is a chakra and why does it matter? Chakras are subtle body energy centers that correspond to key aspects of our physical, emotional, and psychological experience. Each chakra reflects a fundamental dimension of how we relate to ourselves and the world. When these centers are balanced and supported, we are better able to live with stability, creativity, confidence, connection, and clarity. Working with the chakras offers a practical framework for cultivating a well-rounded, resilient, and fulfilling life.
This 7-week experiential series designed to help you cultivate balance, vitality, and inner prosperity by working through the chakra system. Each week focuses on one primary energetic center and its core theme: embodiment, creativity, self-esteem, love, communication, self-awareness, and integration. This offers a grounded and practical pathway to sustainable well-being.
Through simple, accessible yoga practices, guided meditation, and concise educational teachings, this series demystifies the chakras and brings their wisdom into everyday life. Rather than striving for perfection or intensity, the emphasis is on ease, awareness, and repeatable tools that support nervous system regulation and energetic coherence.
Each 75-minute session includes a complete yoga practice, meditation, and reflective inquiry, supported by thoughtfully designed worksheets to deepen understanding and integration. Participants will also receive a complimentary PDF copy of The Radiant Self by Rose Kress, providing an ongoing reference for chakra awareness and self-study. Sessions are recorded and available online, the same day.
By the end of the series, students will:
Understand the essential function of each chakra and its relationship to lived experience
Learn to recognize subtle physical, emotional, and behavioral cues of a chakra imbalance
Gain micro-practices to restore balance in daily life
Develop confidence in self-assessment and self-regulation using the chakra framework
This series is ideal for practitioners seeking a clear, embodied, and practical approach to the chakras, one that supports resilience, self-knowledge, and a truly fruitful existence from the inside out.

Moving through the world with an open heart is a profound state of being which requires a reliable foundation, strength, and clarity. Your connection to your heart affects how you see yourself, those around you, and how you interact with them. Tapping into your heart awakens the healing power of love.
Heart openers in yoga open the chest and release upper back and hip tension from sitting at a computer and carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. The body craves deep heart opening, yet meets resistance, back compression, or lacks strength. This workshop helps you progressively and safely explore back bending postures.
You will experience:
basic anatomy to help you understand your body's sacred geometry;
a special traction practice;
how to support yourself in back bends in classes and at home;
a variety of back bends - prone, kneeling, standing, and restorative;
how the heart soars when supported.
You will come away from this workshop with a strong, open, and expansive heart, feeling renewed and ready for everything an open heart is waiting to offer you.
Open to all levels of experience, from beginners to advanced, and everyone in between.
